Doctor Huynh Le Khang, Deputy Head of Dau Tieng district’s Veterinary Station said that the unit will coordinate with functional agencies to carry out inspection tours over the transportation, slaughtering and trading of poultry and cattle meat at the local markets.
The district is now home to 215 breeding facilities with 106,060 heads of cattle and 2.9million heads of poultry. In Q1, 2019, the district’s Veterinary Station controlled over the slaughtering of 6,202 heads of cattle and 520,740 heads of poultry; made quarantine over 43,657 heads of cattle and 690,030 heads of poultry; organized vaccination on poultry and cattle with 3,000, 3,000 and 400 doses of vaccine to control foot-and-month disease, cholera and blue-ear diseases in pigs, respectively.
