Determination of building national standard schools

According to the 9th provincial party committee congress’ resolution, rate of schools across the province winning the national standards has accounted for 60-65%. After 2 years of launching the resolution, the entire province has 134 schools winning the national standards, accounting for 40.6%.

After launching the work of building national standard schools, the local sector of education and training has mapped out concrete plans, cooperated with mass bodies to invest in sub-standard schools. For schools meeting requirements of material facilities, the sector has focused on investing in professional quality.

 

Quality of teacher staff is also one of key standards for the national standard schools. Annually, the sector has sent hundreds of teachers to professional training classes. Every teacher often enriches their knowledge and renovates teaching methods and applies IT into their work. Contests for good teachers have received great responses from teachers at all levels. Therefore, there are many excellent teachers at many schools.

 

The work of educational socialization has been promoted and mobilized to spur progress of building national standard schools. Duong The Phuong, director of the local department of education and training assessed that local schools have mapped out short-term and long-term plans to become national standard schools.     

 

Since launching a plan on building national standard schools, localities set out a goal to complete the plan. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, vice head of Thuan An town division of education and training, said Thuan An town has so far had 18 out of 32 schools winning national standards, accounting for 56.3%. In addition, socialization of education and training has been greatly responded by the society and people, helping spur local educational operation.

 

According to the provincial People’s Committee’s goal, the locality sets a goal of winning 51.6% of national standard schools in 2013 and 60-65% in 2015. To obtain the set goal, the sector gives priorities to train and foster professional knowledge for teachers, to spur emulation movements at all levels, to expand material facilities and to invest in the state-of-the-art facilities as well as to reinforce socialization of education…
