Summing up activities in 2012, educational sector in Binh Duong Province saw 3 major achievements of high ratio of students passing entrance examination to universities and colleges, high school graduation, and success in the 8th national Phu Dong Sports Games. Excellent students are appraised with merit certificates Students are more qualified for examinations thanks to practical policies aiming at training, developing, and nurturing talents in Binh Duong Province. For the academic year of 2011-2012, 68% of the students have passed entrance examinations to universities and colleges. The quantity has been doubled from previous year with equalized education quality across localities. As informed by Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Education and Training, Mr. Dang Thanh Sang, the sector concentrated on both universal and particular training quality by organizing contests of excellent students at levels of district, town, province and nation. At each level, teachers should be directed with methods of doing tests and knowledgeable instruction for the students to be prepared for the next and higher level. For development strategy, the department aimed at measures to improve education quality by constructing sourcing junior high schools and high quality senior high school. According to Director of Department of Education and Training, Mr. Duong The Phuong, such construction lied within improvements of facilities, staffs, and students enrollment. Under plan, the department, by 2015, shall accept enrollment of 7% of students selected from sourcing and high quality schools. Besides, the department has planned for Hung Vuong Specialized High School from 2011 to 2015 with orientation to 2020 to improve quality and quantity of students qualified for high school graduation and entrance examinations to universities and colleges.
