Di An, North Tan Uyen’s Youth Unions promote traditional cultural education

Di An town’s Youth Union has just teamed up with the town’s Cultural Center to organize a propaganda program on national sea and islands, absorbing more than 500 Youth Union members.

The program took place very animatedly with many significant activities, including a drawing contest, a film show on national sea and islands…Coming to the program, Youth Union members also had a chance to hear the situation of national sea and islands; enjoy art items in praise of national sea and islands like “To quoc goi ten minh” (Motherland calls our names), “Gan lam Truong Sa” (The Spratly islands are so close”…All these activities aim to educate the local youths about patriotism as well as their responsibility in protecting national sovereignty over national sea and islands.

Apart from propaganda activities on national sea and islands, the town’s Youth Union has also just held a talk show on “Di An’s youths with the 2nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” (Southern folk music) Festival for more than 350 Youth Union cadres.

The program highlighted the goal, significance and content of the festival while introducing the land and people of Binh Duong in particular and the southern region in general in association with the history and development of “Don Ca Tai Tu”, the preservation and development of this particular kind of art. It also contributed to raising the local youths’ awareness in preserving and developing “Don Ca Tai Tu”, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of the humanity by UNESCO; educating their love for the nation and arousing national pride among them.

*North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union has just carried out a youth work on presenting 54 Uncle’s portraits to 54 branches to educate the local youths about studying and following his ideology, morals and lifestyle.

The district’s Youth Union also organized a “Voluntary Saturday” program-when drinking water, remember its source”; visited, presented gifts worth VND500,000 each and extended best regards to 5 heroic Vietnamese mothers…

On this occasion, the district’s Youth Union also held a contest for “youth groups telling stories about Uncle Ho and propagandizing revolutionary songs” at Dat Cuoc industrial park.

With the theme of “Youths following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, the contest absorbed 15 teams from communes, wards, State agencies and schools with items in praise of the tradition of the Youth Union, Uncle Ho’s life, Binh Duong’s people and land. It aimed to help the local youths have profound awareness of the great values of Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality and lifestyle; create a useful playground for them…
