Di An opens 8th Congress of Uncle Ho’s Good Children

Early May 27, Di An town’s Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization (HCMYPO) held its 8^th Congress of Uncle Ho’s Good Children with the participation of 126 delegates representing the local children.

 The whole town now has a total of 69 HCMYPO detachments with nearly 40,000 members. Over the past two years, these detachments organized 300 talk shows on “Uncle Ho and children”. They also developed “Helping friends overcome difficulties”, “For poor friends” funds with more than VND350mln, offering help to 2,000 pupils; organized a program named “Lighting up dreams of Di An’s children”  for more than 1,000 children with more than VND100mln.

At the congress, the town’s People’s Committee honored 126 Uncle Ho’s good children and 28 outstanding HCMYPO detachments. In the framework of the congress, the town’s Youth Union also held an exhibition on activities of HCMYPO detachments, visited the town’s Martyrs’ Cemetery, presented gifts outstanding children at charity classes while visiting, presenting gifts worth VND500,000 each to 2 heroic Vietnamese mothers…
