In 2014, Di An town’s Farmers’ Society has continued promoting the emulation movement of “Good farmers in production and business” among members.

The local Farmers’ Society will strive to get 100% of farming households registering to take part in the emulation movement and 60% of the total registered households with the title of good farmers at all levels by the end of the year. The local Farmers’ Society will also team up with relevant agencies to well realize sci-tech transfer, prevention of epidemic diseases in cultivation and animal husbandry, focus on fostering models on urban agricultural production…

In 2013, the local Farmers’ Society coordinated with relevant agencies to extend 10 safe vegetable-growing models with a total expense of VND18mln, 4 orchid-growing models, 5 discus fish-breeding models and 6 mushroom-growing models with 100% of loan supported. It also organized 61 classes on techniques and 21 seminars in cultivation and animal husbandry together with 10 visits to effective production models; set up 2 cooperatives on knit and 1 cooperation on pigeon breeding.
