The A1 Roundabout complex project executed by Becamex IDC Corporation is expected to become the first urban highlight following the TOD traffic model (orienting the development of public transport systems as the basis for urban development planning) in Binh Duong. With a total area of about 7 hectares, this area will include a central station connecting to Thu Duc City and the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line of Ho Chi Minh City.

The A1 Roundabout complex project is ready for the groundbreaking ceremony.

The 5,800m2 metro station is under the A1 Roundabout commercial and service center.

Associate Professor - Dr. Vu Anh Tuan, Director of the Vietnam-Germany Transport Research Center (Vietnam-Germany University), said that developing inter-regional metro is the principle for urban areas to develop in a balanced, sustainable and long-term manner. In the Southeast region, the strongest development centers are Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces.

Promote logistics

In order for the logistics industry to utilize its potential and strengths, Binh Duong is investing in key traffic routes, upgrading inland waterway ports, railways, warehouse systems, etc. All of these projects are planned and developed reasonably, with the ability to connect with seaports, river ports, stations, and international airports in the region to ensure the smooth and fast circulation of goods and logistics activities, minimizing costs for businesses.

Recently, the Provincial People's Committee issued a decision approving the development area along Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 in Ben Cat City as a port-logistics-service urban area with a scale of about 2,702.73 hectares in the localities of An Tay, An Dien, and Phu An. Associate Professor - Dr. Ho Thi Thu Hoa, President of the Vietnam Logistics Research Institute, affirmed that with the advantage of strategic location, strength in industrial development along with urban, transportation infrastructure, industrial zones/clusters planned for synchronous development, Binh Duong is fully qualified to develop into a service center, industrial support and science - technology of the Southeast zone and the Southern region. In particular, the logistics industry has enough inherent potential to become one of the important and spearhead economic sectors of the province, a driving force to stimulate the socio-economic development of Binh Duong in the coming time.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, to maximize the province's advantages in the logistics industry, Binh Duong is closely following the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, to be consistent with the national master plan and the logistics development plan of the whole country. In addition, Binh Duong enhances investment attraction, especially attracting enterprises with capacity in logistics activities to invest and build logistics centers planned by the Provincial People's Committee.

Cay Truong Industrial Park is invested by Becamex IDC Corporation, with a total investment capital of 5,459 billion VND. This is a project that has been awaited in Binh Duong in recent years, aiming to continue creating a clean area to attract investors to build factories and creating infrastructure to welcome factories relocated to the South of Binh Duong. Previously, the Cay Truong Industrial Park project, in Lai Uyen town and Cay Truong 2 commune of Bau Bang district, was approved by the Provincial People's Council for the 1/2,000 scale construction zoning plan in November 2023. This project has an area of up to 700 hectares and is expected to create jobs for 35,000 workers, focusing on key industries in line with the province's socio-economic development orientation.

Cay Truong Industrial Park is identified as a concentrated, multi-industry industrial park with industrial types attracting investment projects following the socio-economic development orientation of the province. This industrial park is more convenient to build when the land has been cleared. In particular, the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang highway with 10 lanes running through Cay Truong Industrial Park was inaugurated on September 23, creating a great driving force to attract investment in this industrial park...

Cay Truong Industrial Park project continues to create clean land to attract quality investors.

Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that in the new period, Binh Duong is positioning a new segment, which is industrial development accompanied by science - technology development and innovation. Currently, Binh Duong is speeding up the progress of industrial park infrastructure according to the plan; researching the formation of science and technology industrial parks; continuing the roadmap for converting functions and relocating enterprises to industrial parks and clusters in the province. The province is also studying options for upgrading and converting existing industrial parks into ecological industrial parks, innovative industrial parks, and industrial - urban - service parks in accordance with the new orientation of Binh Duong province in 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.

Currently, the metro line from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong is being studied by Vietnamese and Japanese authorities, with the endpoint expected to connect to the station at the A1 Roundabout. This metro line is expected to be divided into two branches: one branch running to Binh Duong is built on an elevated route, from station S0 (Ho Chi Minh City) through Binh Chuan intersection (Thuan An City) to Binh Duong Industrial - Urban - Service Complex; the remaining 18.3km long branch runs on an elevated route to Dong Nai, through points such as Vung Tau intersection, Cho Sat, Ho Nai 3 commune area, Trang Bom district.
