Elections of deputies to 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for 2021-2026 tenure: Success and safety

As of 16 pm on May 24, the work of updating the data of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly deputies and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure is still being conducted by provincial Election Standing Committee and Election Committees at all levels urgently and responsibly. According to preliminary results, voters at 1,100 polling stations in the province casted their ballots in accordance with legal regulations.

On May 24, provincial People's Committee had a preliminary report on the organization of the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure in the province. In general, the elections went smoothly with a high voter turnout rate at 99.39%. Election teams in the province well realized entrusted tasks on the election day. The decoration of the polling rooms, the management of ballots and election seals before and during the election day were well done, ensuring absolute safety, contributing to the success of the elections.

On the election, May 23, all polling stations in the province are equipped with computers with software to update data and send them to Election Committees at all levels.

The preparations for the election day were ensured on schedule, showing the sense of responsibility and attention of Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, election committees, election boards, election teams at all levels. Provincial Election Committee and its Sub-Committee of the Health and Security paid special importance to Covid-19 prevention and control on the election day. Election teams across the province well realized preparations for the election day. Ho Thanh Tam, Secretary of Binh Thuan 2 quarter’s Party Cell, Head of the Executive Board of the quarter said that by the end of the election day, May 23, election work in the quarter was successfully held with nearly 30,000 voters. The quarter mobilized all forces to support the organization of the elections at 13 polling stations, as well as propagandizing and mobilizing people to vote fully and safely. Huynh Van Son, Permanent Vice-Secretary of Thuan An city’s Party Committee, Chairman of the city’s People's Council assessed that the elections in the city took place successfully with absolute safety in accordance with the law. Over the past time, the city’s Election Committee had careful preparations on personnel, ensuring that the elected candidates meet the requirements.

One of the highlights of the elections is that election campaign was strictly organized, in accordance with the law, with good coordination between the Fatherland Front Committee and the mass media, creating conditions for the candidates to meet voters, especially amid the complicated development of Covid-19 pandemic. Possibly affirming that provincial Election Steering Committee, Election Committees at all levels had very good preparation for the elections under the plan. The preparations before the election day were carried out urgently, promptly and synchronously, with the attention of Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, election committees at all levels together with enthusiastic participation of the people, ensuring the elections in the province to take place democratically, lawfully, safely and economically.

According to premiliary results, 99.39 percent of voters in the province casted their ballots at 1,100 polling stations. Dau Tieng and Phu Giao districts had 100% of voters participating in the elections; there were 5 localities with the rate of voter turnover at over 99%, including Tan Uyen town (99.90%), North Tan Uyen district (99.96%), Thuan An city (99.47%), Bau Bang district (99.21%) and Thu Dau Mot city (99.23%); Di An city and Ben Cat town reached the rate of voter turnover at 98% and above.

 

For the operation of the software to summarize the election results and the application to report the voter turnout progress on May 23 to be done well, provincial Election Committee directed its Subcommittee on Content - Finance - Logistics to cooperate with district-level Election Committees to deploy general rehearal, comprehensively checking the election results of the whole province. Currently, provincial Election Committees at all levels are aggregating data, preparing to announce election results and a list of elected candidates for People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure.
