The Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU dated 19 May 2022 on digital transformation in Binh Duong province until 2025, with orientation for 2030. In particular, it is emphasized that one of the important tasks is the development of digital technology enterprises and the transformation of traditional enterprises into digital enterprises, enhancing the digital transformation based on the digital platform, the digital business ecosystem.

Currently, Binh Duong province has over 58,000 enterprises (ranked third in the country), of which small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) account for more than 97%. Ceramics is one of the six key industries of Binh Duong, however, enterprises in the ceramic industry are not immune to difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic as well as the strong influence of the war between Russia and Ukraine. To create a breakthrough in production business in the 4.0 trend, many businesses in Binh Duong province have actively embarked on the digital transformation.

Currently, Minh Long I Company is the No.1 brand of household ceramics in Vietnam. Minh Long I has been recognized as a science and technology enterprise since 2015, with a factory system scientifically invested, designed, and built. Their production system is automated, imported from countries having advanced level of ceramic production, such as Germany, France, and Japan.

Businesses today cannot stand aside from the changing trend, shifting from offline to online. Digital transformation is a tool to help businesses not be "left behind" in the midst of many new challenges. Digital transformation includes applying new technology into business production and operations, converting direct to online buying and selling, from traditional marketing to digital and other innovative methods.

Nguyen Thai Phu, Director of TP FOOD Trading Co., Ltd. (Thuan An City), said: “In order to be able to stay strong, the company has implemented the digital transformation to operate efficiently, develop products, and expand consumption market.”

Faced with the fourth industrial revolution, it is imperative to create a breakthrough and improve the competitiveness of enterprises. To improve the competitiveness of SMEs, the support of the State, the efforts of enterprises themselves, and the help of associations are in need.

The Politburo issued Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW, dated 27 September 2019 on some guidelines and policies to actively participate in the fourth industrial revolution. The Prime Minister issued Decision No. 749/QD-TTg, dated 3 June 2020 approving the "National digital transformation program until 2025, orientation for 2030" to identify digital transformation as the key to actively join the fourth industrial revolution.
