A series of fruit trees in Binh Nham, Hung Dinh communes and An Thanh township were hit by the rain with whirlwind on the afternoon of Oct.6. The natural calamity also blew off the roofs of local houses.

 

Nguyen Manh Hung’s 11,000sq.m-fruit orchard in Binh Nham commune’s Binh Hoa hamlet faced serious damage with nearly 100 mangosteens over 100 years collapsed. Orchards of tens of households in Binh Nham were also affected by the natural calamity.

 

Binh Nham communal People’s Committee is considering to give financial support for the local households hit by the natural calamity.
