Get-together celebrating the 70th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day 

Morning September 1^st, Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a get-together to commemorate the 70^th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day September 2^nd. Mr. Mai The Trung, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial NA’s delegation, and Vietnamese heroic mothers, revolutionary veterans, former provincial leaders attended the meeting.

Mr. Mai The Trung (center) conferred second-ranked Labor Medal on Mr. Le Thanh Cung, former Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee, and Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Canh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council, stressed, 70 years ago on September 2^nd1945, at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence. The President made a declaration to the country and the world that Democratic Republic Vietnam was officially born. The Declaration of Independence opened up a new era that for the first time Vietnamese people were able to hold their head up, and proud of themselves as citizens of a free and independent country.

After the August Revolution, TDM soldiers and people joined hands with the nation to fight against American throughout 30 years, obtain the final victory of the Ho Chi Minh campaign, liberate the South and reunify the nation. After 1975, Binh Duong Party and people have continued to write many new victories in socio-economic, defense-security fields into glorious history chapters.

On the occasion of the 70^th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day, Provincial Party Committee conferred Party badges upon 233 Party members. On this occasion, on behalf of the President, Mr. Mai The Trung conferred second-ranked Labor Medal on Mr. Le Thanh Cung, former Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee, and Mr. Tran Van Nam, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of People's Committee, for their great contributions in the 2009-2014 period to the socialist construction and national protection cause.

+ Earlier, leaders of Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, revolutionary veterans, former provincial leaders, departments, agencies of TDM City, Thuan An town visited provincial Martyrs’ Cemetery on occasion of the 70^th anniversary of August Revolution and National Day. In solemn atmosphere, provincial leadership offered incense and flowers to commemorate martyrs who sacrificed for the national independence and freedom.
