Joint effort to develop tourism in Binh Duong

In 2 days of December 20 and 21, Binh Duong Tourism Association successfully coordinated to organize the Canavan Famtrip of "Eastern spirit in 2021" - a program to kick-start, stimulate demand, and connect Binh Duong tourism with provinces and cities across the nation, especially with Ho Chi Minh city, in order to jointly develop Binh Duong tourism in the near future.

The kick-start program

After a long time of the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the tourism in general and particularly in Binh Duong has been greatly affected. Therefore, right after returning to the "new normal" and implementing "safe adaptation, flexibility, and effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic", tourism units in the province have also organized promotion and demand stimulation activities to bring tourism activities back and gradually restore and jointly develop tourism in the province.

In order to stimulate and motivate businesses operating in the field of tourism in the province as well as neighboring provinces and cities Binh Duong Tourism Association has successfully coordinated to organize the Canavan Famtrip of "the Eastern in 2021" with the participation of nearly 90 travel businesses. It can be said that, after 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, this is the first time Binh Duong has organized a tourism program that attracted so many travel businesses. The program will create a push to kick-start the spirit of tourism businesses in the province to work together to promote the province's tourism.

Mr. Tran Tuan Hung, Chairman of Binh Duong Tourism Association, said that the program has a very special meaning, not only to welcome travel businesses to survey potential and new tourism products of Binh Duong, but also to show the spirit of solidarity, exchange and orientation for the development of tours and tourist routes and bring tourists from provinces and cities throughout the nation, especially from Ho Chi Minh city to Binh Duong, contributing to better schedule in 2022 as well as in the future.

Joint efforts to develop tourism

According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh, Director of the provincial Tourism Promotion Center, the Canavan Famtrip is one of the activities that started well in the tourism after Binh Duong returned to the state. "new normal" and safe and flexible adaptation to the Covid-19 epidemic situation. Mr. Nguyen Duc Minh said: “This activity is very important to bring travel agencies of provinces and cities to survey some tourist attractions in Binh Duong province. On that basis, travel companies will calculate and design tours and routes to bring visitors to Binh Duong in the near future. Therefore, the provincial Tourism Promotion Center is very interested and has closely coordinated with the provincial Tourism Department in organizing work to select attractive and unique destinations to introduce to travel businesses.”

After 2 days of experiences and tourism survey in Binh Duong province, representatives of travel businesses shared the same comments that Binh Duong has a lot of potentials and destinations that can be exploited and connected to develop tourism. However, in order to attract tourists, Binh Duong needs to have additional services to serve at monuments and destinations as well as create more attractively new tourism products. Mr. Tran Tuan Hung said that besides the promotion, in the coming time, Binh Duong Tourism Association will coordinate with Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to enhance the destinations, diversify services and create new products for Binh Duong tourism to become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Talking to us, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “This program is a favorable first step to bring Binh Duong tourism activities in 2022 step by step to better position. By the program, Binh Duong introduced tourism products, historical-cultural relics, typical craft village products, etc. to travel businesses. In particular, businesses have been introduced to experience river tourism - a new type of tourism deployed this year in Binh Duong province. In the coming time, Binh Duong tourism will have more new products to diversify the province's tourism products and attract more tourists to Binh Duong," Phong said.

Participating in this Canavan Famtrip, travel businesses have visited many historical and cultural sites in the province such as Hoi Khanh Pagoda, Binh Duong Fine Arts and Culture Intermediate School, Tran Van Ho ancient house, Triangle Iron tunnel, Phu Loi prison. Many impressive tourist destinations of Binh Duong province were also surveyed by the delegation including Phu Cuong Cathedral Church, Phu An Bamboo Village, Wildmill Film Studio, Tuong Binh Hiep Traditional Craft Village, Ancient Pottery Village and the provincial Administration Center. In addition, the delegation also participated in surveying services at Becamex hotel, ceramic products at Minh Sang Plaza and learning more about featured products at Binh Duong Tourism Product Introduction Center at Vinh Phu ward in Thuan An city.
