Key projects completed, development opportunities open up

On September 23, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee held an inauguration ceremony for the construction of a bridge across the Dong Nai River (Bach Dang 2 Bridge) and the Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang Road project. The event was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee...

On the side of Dong Nai province, there were Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; on the side of Binh Phuoc province, there was Mr. Tran Van Mi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Complete traffic infrastructure connection

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Hung Dung, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the opening of Bach Dang 2 Bridge will create a smooth inter-regional traffic connection between Dong Nai - Binh Duong and other provinces and cities in the region; expand connections to key national traffic infrastructure hubs. On that basis, it creates more important premises and motivation for the two provinces to continue to develop further in the coming time.

Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, said that putting Bach Dang 2 Bridge into use contributes to completing the connecting traffic infrastructure system, facilitating the transportation of goods; at the same time, opening up space for developing commercial and service urban areas for the two provinces of Dong Nai and Binh Duong. He proposed that in the coming time, the two provinces continue to invest in more traffic connection projects to complete infrastructure and facilitate economic development of the two localities.

Project 2 - Bach Dang 2 Bridge is invested by the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. The project has a total investment of nearly 491 billion VND; the total length of the route is 945.81m, of which the bridge is 401.32m long, the approach road is 544.49m long; the design speed is 80km/h.

On the same morning, at the intersection between Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road and Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, the Provincial People's Committee also solemnly held the inauguration ceremony of Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang highway.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Hung Dung emphasized that this project is an important link in completing the transportation system of the province and the region; creating favorable conditions for trade and transportation of goods, creating a favorable investment and business environment, attracting large projects, using modern and high-quality technology to invest in the province, contributing to making Binh Duong one of the most dynamically developing provinces in the country.

The Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road project has a total route length of nearly 48km, passing through three districts of Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang and a 5km long branch connecting from Tam Lap intersection, Phu Giao district to Dong Phu district, Binh Phuoc province.

The Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang dynamic road is put into use, creating new motivation for the development of Binh Duong.

The starting point of the project is at Tan Thanh intersection with DT.746 road in Bac Tan Uyen district and the end point is at Lai Uyen town, Bau Bang district. The project is divided into five component projects, including 1 site clearance compensation project (entire route) assigned to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor and 4 construction projects assigned to localities as investors. This is a group B project, a level-two traffic project, with 6 lanes, a design speed of 80km/h, a total investment of more than 5,256 billion VND.

People share the common joy

Mr. Duong Van Minh, a resident in Bach Dang commune, shared: “Before, every time we needed to go to Vinh Cuu district of Dong Nai, we had to go by boat, which was both dangerous and time-consuming. When my family had to transport agricultural products to sell in Dong Nai, we had to hire a truck which was very expensive. Now Bach Dang 2 bridge helps my family and the people here travel conveniently. It only takes a few minutes for us to reach Vinh Cuu district.

Bach Dang 2 Bridge connects Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province and Binh Loi commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province.

The bridge put into use also creates a boost for trade between the two provinces. Nowadays, many people come to Bach Dang commune for eco-tourism and to visit pomelo growing farms. With the opening of Bach Dang 2 Bridge, we have high expectations that the local eco-tourism will develop strongly in the coming time."

Mr. Tran Van Tuan, a resident of Binh Loi commune, Vinh Cuu district, excitedly said: “In the past, my family transported at least 2 shipments to Binh Duong every day to deliver to factories. We had to take a detour through Hoa An bridge, which was far away, consumed much fuel and time. Now that Bach Dang 2 bridge is in operation, it will help my family save fuel, time and money. The bridge helps connect traffic between the two provinces, while creating strong economic development for people and businesses in the future."

Mr. Ho Van Loi, a resident of Tan Long commune, Phu Giao district, said that his family had 2,287.5 m2 land that were acquired for the construction of Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang road project. As soon as information about the project came out, he was very much in agreement with the State's policy. “Today I am very happy that the road is completed and put into use. I believe the road will serve the strategic development and connectivity between areas in the province," said Mr. Loi.

Key projects, Bach Dang 2 Bridge and Bac Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang Road, have been put into use, opening up new hopes for the people in the province, while contributing to the synchronous and comprehensive development of Binh Duong, creating new momentum for the province to move rapidly on the path of modern and civilized development in the new era.
