Build a nationally leading logistics center

To develop modern and efficient logistics centers, Binh Duong is focusing on investing in the expansion of its logistics infrastructure and the development of support services to enhance connectivity. This will create a continuous, extensive, and synchronous logistics network. Mr. Nguyen Quang Sang, Director of Phuong Nam Freight Transport Company, highlighted that Binh Duong boasts a diverse warehouse system capable of accommodating various types of goods, including industrial products and e-commerce items. The province also has a multi-modal transportation infrastructure that effectively connects with other provinces, cities, airports, and seaports, enabling flexible and rapid transportation.

In this new phase, Binh Duong must continue to create favorable conditions for investors to develop multi-sector logistics. This will involve forming inter-provincial and international networks supported by diverse modes of transport and high-quality logistics services.

Binh Duong is encouraging the development of modern warehouses to meet the province's industrial and agricultural products located in factories, along with continuous logistics services to complete the production and distribution chain of products for the province's key industries. According to Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh, General Director of Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Post), the corporation's goal is to create a network of logistics centers connecting regions and areas to shorten time and reduce costs of goods circulation for businesses.

It is expected that Viettel Post will establish 37 large logistics centers nationwide. Particularly in Binh Duong, the corporation proposed to establish an international agricultural logistics center including many services, such as a product display booth, post-harvest agricultural product storage warehouse, customs clearance procedures, and inspection to ensure export standards to China and ASEAN countries.

Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade, stated that in the near future, Binh Duong and the Industry and Trade sector will continue to prioritize the development of the logistics sector. Currently, Binh Duong is working on planning and allocating land in areas with favorable traffic conditions to establish regional and area-level logistics centers. In addition, Binh Duong actively supports enterprises in improving the quality of human resources, applying technology, connecting with enterprises in the supply chain, promoting trade - logistics services; supporting the circulation of goods and logistics activities, reducing costs for enterprises...

Promote digital transformation, green transformation

Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, President of the Binh Duong Logistics Association, stated that Binh Duong aims to develop using a green economic model, a digital economy, and a circular economy. The province will continue to invest in transport, urban, and service infrastructure to attract investment resources and strengthen its position in the global value chain. Free trade zones, along with the integration of logistics and industrial parks, are considered a “golden” opportunity for Binh Duong to heighten its competitiveness and attract domestic and foreign investment.

“We have collaborated with numerous enterprises, particularly those belonging to the Binh Duong Logistics Association. One notable observation from the association is that the digital and green transformations of enterprises have been progressing rapidly, effectively meeting development needs. This progress serves as a crucial stepping stone to attract a new wave of investment, thereby accelerating growth in the logistics industry," Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh shared.

Binh Duong recognizes logistics as a vital and leading economic sector in the province's development strategy, aiming to position Binh Duong as a key hub for connecting and transporting goods among provinces and regions.

Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, President of Binh Duong Logistics Association: The province is developing logistics towards regional connectivity, orienting Binh Duong to become a satellite center, a place to gather goods, and concentrate logistics services to serve the production of goods in industrial parks and clusters in the region; making logistics services one of the important and spearhead economic sectors, a factor promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
