LEGO to build a factory of more than USD 1 billion in Binh Duong

As planned, on November 3, LEGO Group from Denmark breaks ground on a factory construction project in Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park III (VSIP III), Tan Uyen town in Binh Duong province.

Previously, in March 2022, LEGO Group was officially licensed by the province to invest in a factory project with an investment value of more than USD 1 billion. The factory was built on an area of ​​44 hectares in VSIP III, which is the 6th factory of the LEGO Group globally, and the second in Asia and the project with the largest investment capital by a Danish enterprise in Vietnam.

Preben Elnef – Deputy President of LEGO Group shared, informed that the LEGO Group's factory in Vietnam will be the group's most sustainable factory in the world in terms of design and construction with modern equipment and compliance according to the highest standards of LEED under American Green Building Council. The selection of Binh Duong province and VSIP Industrial Park Joint Venture Company Limited is highly appreciated by LEGO Group leaders because both parties have the same sustainable development orientation from the use of energy, water, and waste treatment to traffic management and security.

The LEGO factory project in Binh Duong is expected to start operating in 2024 as the largest investment project ever of LEGO and also the largest factory invested in Vietnam in 2022.
