Many useful playgrounds for children in summer

During the 2023 summer vacation, provincial departments, sectors, mass organizations, especially Youth Union – Young Pioneer Organizations at all levels have organized many useful activities from weekend playgrounds, competitions, classes... These playgrounds have helped develop intelligence, emotions, and talents, contributing to bringing a meaningful summer and creating new energy for children before entering the new school year.

Various activities

Last weekend, many places in the province held "the 2023 provincial day of volunteer soldiers for dear juniors". Provincial Youth Union, Young Pioneer Organization and Ben Cat town’s Youth Union jointly organized this program in Thinh Gia urban area in Tan Dinh ward. At the program, the Organizing Board gave 20 gifts for the local disadvantaged children. They also received free dental check-ups, instructions on how to care for and protect their teeth, and participated in contests on drawing, painting statues and folk games.

Meanwhile, provincial Youth Union – Young Pioneer Organization and Binh Hoa ward’s Youth Union offered 40 gifts to disadvantaged children in Binh Hoa ward’s Dong An 1 quarter in Thuan An city. The Youth Union branches of Thuan An city’s Medical Center and VNPT Binh Duong also presented a work on "The foster brother of the Youth Union" to Khmer children with difficult circumstances. The Youth Union branch PA02 of provincial Police Agency donated 20 dream schoolbags to disadvantaged children… After the ceremony, the children immersed themselves in the weekend playground with many fun and attractive games while being practiced English through interesting games.

Le Tuan Anh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union, Chairman of provincial Young Pioneer  Organization said that "The 2023 peak day of volunteer soldiers for dear juniors"  simultaneously took place in districts, towns and cities with the following events: Organizing fun and entertainment activities, creative experience, equipping children with skills; giving training on skills for Young Pioneer  Organization cadres; holding creative experience activities in association with the application of information technology, digital transformation... The program also organized many other significant activities to protect, care for and support children such as visiting and offering gifts to children; giving psychological consultancy, organizing physical and mental improvement for children; organizing classes on life skills, skills to prevent and combat abuse, accidents, injuries, drowning, safety skills in the online environment; holding free fun activities..., aiming at attracting children to participate in Young Pioneer Organization activities in order to be immersed in healthy activities, thereby limiting spending too much time on electronic devices or unhealthy activities.

Exciting playgrounds

In addition to organizing activities for children in the summer vacation, the units have been proactive to organize many new and useful playgrounds with high educational value. Accordingly, Thu Dau Mot city’s Steering Committee of Youth Activities, Youth Union, Center for Culture - Information - Sports and Division of Education and Training held the 2023 contest on telling stories based on books with the theme of "Books - Lighting up childhood dreams". The contest had 30 items with the participation of more than 600 children. The main content of the contest was to tell stories from books, stories about Uncle Ho, about love for the country, national sea and islands; examples of good people, good deeds in work and study from children and teenagers. The contest was organized to build and develop reading culture, making the reading movement become a habit and a cultural beauty in children towards building a learning society, helping children arouse their passion about reading books and enriching their knowledge.

Starting the exciting summer, provincial Children's Cultural House held the opening of the 2023 summer and a draw contest with the theme of "Children of Binh Duong doing a thousand good deeds", arts performances and folk games. Accordingly, many exciting activities took place here such as draw contest on stone benches, contest "Children of Binh Duong doing a thousand good deeds", performances from aptitude classes. In addition, the children also participated in activities of booths on experience with Lego, free medical examination and enjoyed folk games. Especially, parents also participated in a consulting program on how to bringup children in a proper way.

Nguyen Phan Thai Anh, Director of provincial Children's Cultural House said: "The festival of opening the summer vacation is a colorful playground for children in the whole province, also an opportunity to evaluate the effectiveness of the training from aptitude classes here. In the summer vacation, provincial Children's Cultural House will organize programs and classes, namely "Nurturing talents", "Active teen summer camp - Learning good things", "Learning to be a police officer",... and organize many aptitude classes to create favorable conditions for all children to participate in".
