The first week of the Youth Month 2023 has been kicked off across the province, with practical activities, opening the arms of love, giving care to difficult cases.

Since Tran Huu Sang, a former official of the grassroots Youth Union of provincial Youth Union died in a traffic accident on his way to work, only his wife, Bui Thi Kieu Hanh, and two small children have remained in the small house. Suddenly, in a moment of losing a loved one, Hanh and her children almost broke down. With no spiritual support and no economic pillar, Hanh has to play the role of both father and mother of her children alone. They now live in a very dilapidated house. The Youth Union branch has conducted a review and awarded a youth work on home repair to Mrs. Hanh's family.

Nguyen Thanh Lam, Secretary of the grassroots Youth Union of provincial Youth Union said: "Tran Huu Sang was a person with many contributions to the unit as well as the local Youth Union movements. With the meaning of caring and paying tribute to Youth Union cadres and their families with difficult circumstances, the grassroots Youth Union of provincial Youth Union has called for contributions from donors, units to donate a youth work on home repair worth VND 20 million to his family. This will partly share the burden and help the family get a safe place to live in the face of climate change in the coming time.”

Also with the goal of bringing a decent home to Youth Union members, in the early days of March, Thuan An city’s Youth Union in collaboration with An Thanh ward’s People's Credit Fund, Youth Union held a ceremony starting construction of a charity house for the family of Nguyen Ngoc Phuoc, a typical member of the Youth Union branch of An Thanh ward’s military. He is living with his family in a four-level house with 40 square meters, which was built a long time ago. Phuoc's father and mother are over 60 years old with their work capacity lost. Currently, their house is degraded seriously. It is known that the charity house is built with a total area of ​​48 square meters with cement floor, corrugated iron roof, brick wall... The People's Credit Fund of An Thanh ward will support VND 100 million to the work and the rest will be from the family and the locality. This is a meaningful activity of Thuan An city’s youth in celebration of the 92nd founding anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2023), showing the interest of the Youth Union to the youth, especially those with difficult circumstances, contributing to encouraging them to rise up in life.

Volunteering for the community, taking care of Youth Union officials, teenagers and children is one of the key contents of this year's youth activities. Accordingly, these activities focus on 5 main contents, including law dissemination among young people, with the application of information technology strengthened; activities to promote young people’s spirit of volunteer and creativity in building civilized urban and advanced new-style rural areas, pioneering in digital transformation; activities to accompany young people in startup, international integration and take care of Youth Union officials, teenagers and children; activities, solutions to build up a strong Union Youth, expand the front of uniting, gathering youth...

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union said: "The Youth Month's activities must be implemented extensively from the grassroots, ensuring practicability and effectiveness, closely following the focus of the Youth Union's movements in 2023. They also need to be suitable with the local programs and practical needs, arousing pride in the glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in every Youth Union cadre and member. In addition, they must uphold the voluntary role of young people in participating in projects and tasks, contributing to fulfilling political tasks and participating in the socio-economic development. These voluntary activities will contribute to strengthening the task of uniting and gathering youth, consolidating and improving the quality of the Youth Union, affirming the role and position of the Youth Union - Association in the youth and society".
