Nearly 1.4 million people join in health insurance

In 2014, the number of people participating in health insurance in the province was 1,398,804, accounting for 77.6% of provincial population; number of units involved in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance was 6392 units; number of employees participating in compulsory social insurance, health insurance was 766,848 (including 65% of FDI areas, 25% of private enterprises, 10% of State-owned enterprises and administrative agencies).

The total number of insurers receiving healthcare in 2014 was 4,281,166 turns (each health insurance card received averagely 3.15 turns) with a total cost of VND969 billion (increasing by 45.65% over the same period of 2013).  Provincial Social Insurance also signed insured healthcare contracts with 55 medical facilities, including 33/55 implementing capitation payments, accounting for 60%.
