Nearly 3,000 children attend opening ceremony of 22nd “Bup sen hong” festival

The opening ceremony of the 22^nd “Bup sen hong” (Pink lotus bud) festival was held at provincial Convention-Exhibition Center on the evening of July 19. Attending the event were Nguyen Long Hai, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Huu Tu, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee together with nearly 3,000 children from 61 cultural houses, palaces and centers for children-teenagers in the southern region.

The festival is an art performance playground for children in the region to meet and exchange. Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr.Hung said that provincial leaders spoke highly of the enthusiastic participation of units while hoping that this will be a chance for children in the region to understand more about the beauty of Binh Duong’s people and land.

On the opening night of the festival, Binh Duong made a good impression on participating units through special items of the art performance “Binh Duong ruc anh ban mai” (Binh Duong is bright in early morning). The festival will last until July 22 and 61 participating units will perform their items on 3 main stages, namely provincial Cultural House for Children, Thanh Le Cultural Park and provincial Center for Culture and Movie.
