Outstanding Vietnamese pool player Nguyen Phuc Long has qualified for the knock-out round after winning the two previous games at the 2011 World 8-ball Championship in Fujairah City, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

On February 22, Long defeated Mario He from Austria 7-4 and Iranian rival, Zarekani, 7-3 to enter the knock-out for 56 players.

The 2011 World 8-ball Championships will last until February 26.
