People of Tam Lap commune in Phu Giao district are delighted as traveling on new rural roads in group 1, Cay Kho hamlet. This route has been recently paved to meet technical standards and put into use, completely remedies the muddy situation in rainy seasons, meeting people’s needs for travel and goods transport.

To complete the construction of this road, in addition to the State's capital, local authorities mobilized contributions from the people with the motto "The State and the people work together". During construction, households on the road voluntarily donated more than 215 square meters of land and planted trees to expand the road. One of the typical families donating land is Le Van Phat, who donated nearly 135 square meters of land and harvested fruit and rubber trees, contributing to the early construction and completion of this project. Phat shared: “This road is now spacious, clean and beautiful, facilitating trade and business. I myself and the people here are very happy and pleased..."

Recently, communes and towns in Phu Giao district have been making efforts to build infrastructure systems; upgrade the rural transportation system with the consent of the people. During the implementation process, Party Committees, authorities, Fatherland Front and unions and hamlets are actively mobilizing, creating trust and raising people's awareness to promote the people’s role in building new rural areas to enjoy the results.

In addition, localities also carried out projects of installing lighting and launched a flower planting movement on rural roads... From practical results, it has created motivation for people to become more enthusiastic and voluntarily contribute labor, money, donate land and assets on land to join hands for improved rural areas and model rural areas.

To improve quality of new rural construction

In 2024, Phu Giao district will complete the procedure to meet new rural construction standards and submit dossiers to the Central Appraisal Council to recognize the district as meeting the standards in accordance with the goals set by the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term. On the other hand, the district focuses on maintaining 10/10 communes that meet advanced new rural construction standards, and Tan Hiep, An Thai, and Tan Long communes are recognized as communes that meet model new rural construction standards; At the same time, coordinates to conduct research on a scientific project of building "Smart Villages" in rural construction. In addition, the District People's Committee also directed communes to maintain, supplement, complete and have plans to improve the quality of new rural areas criteria.

District leaders are always consistent in their view of maximizing the leadership, command and administration roles of heads of agencies, units and localities; be exemplary, at the forefront of work, determined to successfully carry out assigned political tasks. In particular, the construction of new rural areas must be people-centered, promoting the strength of the entire people and the spirit of solidarity according to the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check and people enjoy". All levels, branches and the entire district political system continue to identify the new rural development program as a key task; at the same time, promote the roles and responsibilities of the leadership team and the head, taking the implementation results of the new rural construction program as one of the criteria to review and evaluate the results of leadership and task performance.

In 2024, Phu Giao district focuses on implementing the goal of gathering resources, further promoting the advantages and strengths of each locality, creating a breakthrough in socio-economic development; turn the district's agricultural production into a strong, smart, high-productivity manufacturing industry, gradually digitizing agricultural production. Accordingly, the district builds new rural areas in combination with modernization of agricultural production and rural urbanization; continue to improve the quality of rural socio-economic infrastructure; enhance the development of rural commercial services; promote local initiative and creativity, and the participation of socio-political organizations in the area.

In addition, the district continues to implement the new rural development program combined with effectively restructuring the agricultural sector; carry out the advanced new rural construction, model new rural construction, gradually becoming modern; ensure the environment and rural landscape are bright, green, clean, beautiful, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
