In Q1 2013, Phu Giao district’s Steering Board for Poverty Reduction and Employment Program disbursed more than VND5bln from many different sources for 198 poor households to develop homebased business.

The district also granted more than 5,430 insurance cards for poor households, near-poor ones and policy beneficiaries; supported more than VND6.3bln for more than 7,580 policy beneficiaries on this occasion of the traditional Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2014; provided more than VND3.3bln in allowance to social support people…during the period.

Besides, the district organized delegations to visit and present more than 1,600 gifts to policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors, poor households…with a total value of more than VND697mln. More than 1,020 Tet gifts worth more than VND293mlnwere were also presented to them.
