Power works invested for production and business

Binh Duong Power Company has just said that its commercial electricity output in July 2022 was 1,290 million kWh. The figure over the past 7 months was 9,005 million kWh, or 58.34% of the year’s plan assigned by the Electricity of Vietnam's Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC). Of these, power output for industrial manufacture increased by 0.84% ​​over the same period last year, accounting for 77.18% of total. In July, 2022, the whole province saved 33.5 million kWh of power. The figure was more than 206 million kWh of power over the past 7 months, accounting for 2.24% of total commercial electricity output.

It is known that Binh Duong Power Company is constructing 30 out of 43 power grid works while the remaining ones are in the stage of document approval and selection of construction contractors. In addition, in order to improve power quality, reduce losses and improve reliability and safety in power supply, the EVNSPC is implementing a project to upgrade and develop medium and low voltage power grids in the central areas of the province with total investment of VND 121 billion.

According to the company, the local socio-economic activities are still recovering after the pandemic. Therefore, the company’s production and business situation also had many positive results with commercial power target continuing recovering, revenue increasing compared to the same period in 2021, and target of power supply reliability getting better over the same period, ensuring stable, safe and continuous power supply for production, business activities and people’s daily life in the province.
