Progress of key works accelerated

In order to complete key works announced at the commencement ceremony of building Binh Duong New City, the provincial People’s Committee focused on hastening progress of traffic road projects such as Pham Ngoc Thach, My Phuoc – Tan Van roads as well as projects of socio-culture, trade and service, among others.  Pham Ngoc Thach road project is under completion.

 

Accelerating progress of key projects

 

According to the provincial functional agencies’ reports, key projects of traffic field have thus far reached more than 70% of progress, in which Pham Ngoc Thach road project is a highlight of urban architecture on the way to Binh Duong New City. This route links the new city’s hub with Thu Dau Mot urban areas and creates linkage with Ho Chi Minh City and regional provinces.

 

The project of Pham Ngoc road is 6.53km in length, comprises 8 lanes with the total investment capital of about VND1,917bil, around 97% of compensation expense of which was paid. At present, the project is under completion of pavement. The project is under acceleration to timely open on the upcoming National Day (Sept. 2). Besides, the 26.7km long My Phuoc-Tan Van road’s 19.2km were asphalted and approximate 97.6% of compensation expense of the project was paid.

 

At a meeting on implementing key projects, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung asked departments, agencies to check the basic construction goal programs in accordance to the 9th provincial party committee congress’ resolution and simultaneously hasten and complete progress of key works as soon as possible.

 

Regarding projects of trade and service, the chairman asked relevant units and agencies to launch bus system invested by Becamex – Tokyu Company. This is the project of developing public traffic network connecting Binh Duong New City with urban areas and industrial parks. It is expected that the bus route from hub of Thu Dau Mot city to Binh Duong New CVity will be put into operation on the occasion of the coming National Day (Sept. 2).

 

In addition, work on tender of socio-cultural projects like the 1,500 bed general hospital, studio project are under acceleration.

 

Solving problems

 

Presently, units and investors have implemented projects to reach the set progress. However, these units remain shortcomings such as compensation and site clearance.

 

At present, My Phuoc-Tan Van road project encounters difficulties of site clearance and compensation.

 

Besides, launching capital for projects remains slow. Solving the problem, the chairman agreed on adding VND50bil to help the provincial construction investment management board launch some key works for completion on the occasion of the coming National Day and increasing VND50bil for Ben Cat town administration to implement site clearance and compensation of My Phuoc-Tan Van and DT741 roads.
