The province’s tourism sector has continued reaching good results. The sector’s total revenue since early this year has been estimated at VND730billion, up 4% compared to the same period last year or 57.9% of the year’s plan.
New services
Vo Van No, Head of the Tourism Management Division under provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism said that another new tourism services for tourists at weekend have been developed in the province in recent years. Lately, Dai Nam tourist complex has just inaugurated Dai Nam race course, absorbing a large amount of visitors.
The province absorbed a large number of visitors via the 2nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” festival
In the first half of the year alone, the province welcomed 2.7million tourists, up 3.8% against the corresponding period last year. The Thien Hau Lady Temple festival 2017 fell on weekend, so pagodas in the province attracted a large number of pilgrims. Along this, organizing the 2nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” (southern folk music) festival also helped the province lure numerous tourists.
Possibly seeing, the success of the province’s tourism sector has come from effective cooperation between the local government and travel units. Mr.No added that over the past time, provincial Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism also organized training courses on tourism, contributing to promoting the local tourism sector.
Boosting popularization on tourism
According to provincial Tourism Promotion Center, website: www.dulichbinhduong.org.vn in the first half of 2017 welcomed nearly 22,000 visitors. Through such events as the 2nd National “Don Ca Tai Tu” festival, the “Nha Trang” sea festival 2017, the HCM city Tourism festival 2017…, the center provided tourists with 4,516 various printed materials and 1,056 key finders as souvenir.
Together with updating information on the local tourist sites via website: www.dulichbinhduong.org.vn and other websites from travel units, hotels, tourist sites…, the province’s tourism sector will launch contests introducing about the local relics and landscapes while coordinating with Tuong Binh Hiep, Dinh Hoa lacquer villages, Tan Phuoc Khanh pottery village…to take tourists to there, contributing to promoting the local tourism sector.
Provincial Tourism Promotion Center will also team up with travel units to regularly take part in tourism events in order to boost popularization on the local tourism. This is be the favorable condition for the province’s tourism sector to get access to domestic and foreign markets while supporting province-based travel units to popularize their products, thereby finding partners for better development…
In the first half of 2017, the province’s tourism reached VND630billion in revenue or 86% of the total revenue of the whole sector. Province-based tourist sites welcomed a large number of tourists. Particularly, 1.2 million tourists visited Dai Nam tourism site; more than 70,000 to the local museums and relics; more than 220,000 to Cau mountain-Dau Tieng reservoir tourist site…
