100% of voters' petitions considered, addressed and answered

On the afternoon of November 14, the Standing Committee of the 10th provincial People's Council organized a monitoring session on the resolution of petitions submitted by voters for the 16th session (mid-2024) of provincial People's Council. Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.

During the session, representatives from provincial People's Council committees reported on the verification of the resolution of voters' petitions for the 16th session (mid-2024) of the 10th provincial People's Council. The Standing Committee of provincial People's Council forwarded a total of 138 petitions from voters to provincial People's Committee. Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant specialized agencies to review, resolve and respond to all 138 petitions, achieving a 100% resolution rate. Specifically, provincial People's Committee directed departments, sectors and localities to focus on resolving voters' petitions in accordance with their competence, addressing voters’ legitimate desires. Of these, 92 petitions (or 66.7% of total) were resolved while 46 petitions are still under review. Especially, before responding to voters' petitions, departments and sectors conducted practical surveys and provided responses that were focused, complete, clear and included specific implementation roadmaps…

Also at the session, delegates focused on discussing and contributing ideas to continue improving the quality and effectiveness of resolving voters' petitions at the expectations of voters and people in the province. Delegates also recommended provincial People's Committee to continue directing departments and sectors to promptly resolve any unresolved voters' petitions under the established roadmap...

Concluding the session, Mr. Loc acknowledged and spoke highly of provincial People's Committee's strong leadership as well as the efforts of the departments, sectors and localities in addressing voters' petitions sent to provincial People's Council sessions. He also urged departments, sectors and localities to continue strengthening coordination in resolving any unresolved petitions and promptly resolve those within their jurisdiction.
