Provincial leader receives delegation of Japan Cooperation Bureau of Economy, Industry and Trade

On the afternoon of March 27, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee received a delegation from the Japan Cooperation Bureau of Economy, Industry and Trade, led by Fujiwara Yutaka, Deputy Head of the Bureau.

At the reception, Mr.Liem briefly informed the delegation of the local socio-economic development during the past 20 years and gave an overall introduction on Binh Duong smart city project. He emphasized that under the project, the province will carry out a main project on all fields together with 80 other related projects to be implemented by sectors, departments in the province. The province wants to have coordination with the world’s developed cities, experts, scientists, institutes, large-scale corporations and important partners, including Japan.

Mr. Fujiwara Yutaka spoke highly of 11 key projects to be implemented by the province in the roadmap of Binh Duong smart city building while submitting the local breakthrough ideas into the Japanese Government. He also shared Japan’s experience in changing agricultural economy to industrial economy towards hi-tech industrial economy. The Japan Cooperation Bureau of Economy, Industry and Trade and corporations from Japan like Tokyu are always ready to coordinate with the province in smart city building.
