Provincial leader receives delegation of JBAH

Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, on June 1, welcomed a delegation of Japanese Business Association in HCM city (JBAH), led by Kadowaki Keiichi, President of JBAH.

At the reception, Mr.Liem briefly informed the delegation of the local activities on investment promotion. Among 59 countries and territories making investment in the province, Japan has so far ranked second with 246 projects capitalized at nearly US$5.2billion.

He also spoke highly of Japanese projects that have worked effectively, complied with Vietnamese laws, taken good care of workers’ lives and had good relations with the local administration. Along with projects in processing industry, some in hi-quality services from Japan’s great corporations have made contributions to the local urban and industrial development. The province will continue calling for Japanese investors to make investment in province-based industrial parks and carrying out investment promotion in Japan.

Mr.Kadowaki Keiichi also thanked provincial leaders for their efforts in creating favorable conditions for Japanese businesses to work effectively while saying that JBAH now has a total of 905 members. Many Japanese businesses are now very interested in the investment climate of the province, especially new industrial parks herein.
