Provincial Party Committee Secretary Mai The Trung receives co-chairman of VSIP Group

Early May 19, Mai The Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee received Kelvin Teo, co-chairman of VSIP Group and CEO of Sembcorp Development at provincial Integrated Administration Center. 

At the working session, Mr.Trung affirmed that security in Binh Duong in general and province-based industrial parks (Ips) in particular has got stable with more than 80% of enterprises affected by the recent unfortunate incidents resuming operation. Many stolen assets during the incidents were basically taken back.

He also said State President Truong Tan Sang, ministries, sectors and leaders of provincial People’s Committee visited and encouraged enterprises hit by the recent incidents. The province was assessing the costs of damages to these enterprises to offer them financial assistance in order to help them resume operations as soon as possible.

Mr.Kelvin Teo spoke highly of the instruction of provincial leaders in ensuring the local order and security, improving the consequences of the recent incidents and making faith among enterprises operating in VSIP. After the incidents, leaders of Sembcorp Development informed international press agencies and VSIP’s clients about relevant information. He also wanted that the local authorities would soon map out support plans for the affected enterprises, helping them stabilize operations and well realize their set business plan.

On behalf of provincial leaders, Mr.Trung thanked the support of leaders of Sembcorp Development while wanting that VSIP’s clients would further make investment in Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular so that the relationship between Vietnam and Singapore will be tightened for a new height.

After the working session, Mr.Kelvin Teo also worked with Le Thanh Cung, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee about plans to ensure security and support enterprises affected by the recent incidents at VSIP.
