Provincial summer youth volunteer campaign 2017 launched

A ceremony to launch provincial summer youth volunteer campaign 2017 was held at An Binh A primary school in Phu Giao district’s An Binh commune on the morning of June 9. With the theme of “Binh Duong’s youths joining hands to build new-style rural and civilized urban areas”, the campaign will attach special importance to on-site volunteer activities, aiming to absorb the participation of numerous Youth Union members and many other youth forces.

This year’s campaign will focus on 5 main activities, namely “Giving strength to examination season”, “Green summer”, “Red phoenix-flower”, “Pink vacation” and “Green operation”.

According to Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of provincial Youth Union, the campaign will be organized in and out of the province. Activities in the province will focus on main communes in building new-style rural and civilized urban areas; communes in the remote and poor region of the province and areas crowded with young workers. The campaign will be also implemented in other localities that have friendship relations with the province. Provincial Student Association will organize volunteer programs in Binh Thuan province’s Phu Quy island district, Laos’Champasak province and Cambodia’s Kampong Thom province…

Under the “giving strength to examination” program, provincial Youth Union and its branches will help candidates and their relatives to easily get access to necessary information and receive support from the program.

Provincial Youth Federation will also team up with provincial Young Physicians’ Association and Young Entreprenuers’Association to organize a journey “Following the footsteps of heroes” and provincial Volunteer Entrepreneurs’ Day Youth Union branches at district level will join hands with armed forces to get involved in significant activities such as upgrading rural roads…Whilst, Youth Union branches at communal level will take part in building new rural areas.

In addition, Youth Union branches at district/town/city levels will set up propaganda squads, keeping traffic safety and order; take part in building civilized streets, alleys with “Green-clean-nice and safe” criteria. Youth Union branches at communal/ward/township levels will engage in activities keeping traffic safety; monthly maintain rejuvenation of roads and alleys; eradicate illegal advertising boards…

Provincial Youth Union and its branches will strive to construct 5 charity houses, 3 “red scarf” houses; set up 3 youth model lodging facilities; hand over 3 “dream’ rooms to needy workers; organize many social welfare activities such as healthcare, blood donation, legal constancy, “Voluntary Saturday” program...The local youths will also realize practical activities in celebration of Youth Union congresses at all levels towards the 10^th provincial Youth Union congress and the 11^th national Youth Union congress for the 2017-2022 tenure.
