Scientific workshop on “following tradition, Binh Duong with a quarter-century journey: Achievements and prospects: Arousing pride, following tradition for development

Yesterday afternoon (April 12), Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee chaired a meeting of the Organizing Board of the Scientific Workshop on “following the tradition, Binh Duong province with a quarter-century journey:  Achievements and prospects”. The event was attended by members of provincial Party Standing Committee, members of the Organizing Board of the workshop.

Nearly 80 professors, associate professors, PhDs to attend the workshop

Reporting at the meeting, provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education, the Standing Body of the Organizing Board of the workshop said that the commission has coordinated with specialized groups to continue well performing a number of tasks. Specifically, as of April 12, 2022, the Organizing Board of the workshop received 175 speeches and is editing them in order to prepare for 4 thematic sessions of the workshop. Noticeably, up to 79 professors, associate professors and doctors nationwide will directly participate in the workshop or submit their speeches to the workshop. Among the 175 speeches, there were 34 on building political system - lessons; 55 on economic - urban development; 56 on human being - culture - society; 30 on national defense - security - foreign affairs.

At the meeting, provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education also reported on rearranging the order of speeches in each group and balancing their time, creating a more reasonable link between the contents; proposed to set up a clip summarizing experts, diplomats, businesses and people’s comments and feelings on achievements, prospects and expectations for the development of Binh Duong province. The meeting informed delegates of the change and addition of presentations at thematic sessions.

Regarding the topic of the workshop, provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education has also coordinated with provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to redesign the workshop’s logo in accordance with the theme adjusted: "Following the tradition, Binh Duong province with a quarter-century journey: Achievements and prospects” and adjusted under the content of the new topic in relevant documents and texts; reviewed the workshop’s exhibition program.

In terms of communication work, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station edited a clip showing the plenary session of the workshop and built a clip of the thematic session on people - culture - society to show for contributive ideas from the Organization Board of the workshop. The workshop’s communication team also edited introductory documents on the workshop under the form of scanning the integrated QR code …

At the meeting, the delegates heard specific reports on the preparation of each thematic group; gave contributive ideas to the contents and programs of the workshop...

Affirming, honoring achievements and values

At the meeting, Mr. Thao agreed on the theme of the workshop: "Following tradition, Binh Duong province with a quarter-century journey: Achievements and prospects" while requesting members of the Organizing Board to further review and complete the contents of the workshop in the spirit of urgency, seriousness and responsibility from content to logistics. He also requested provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education to coordinate with departments and sectors to advise and coordinate preparatory work, well ensuring the workshop’s overall scenario.

The scientific workshop is an opportunity for Binh Duong province to celebrate 25 years of construction and development on the foundation inherited from Song Be province, summarizing the local development journey with many efforts and full of the glory of the entire Party, army and people of Binh Duong province. The message of the workshop will affirm and honor the local Party, government and people on achievements in the cause of national construction and defense, deservedly following the foundations and achievements of Song Be province, thereby arousing pride and consolidating faith for people from all strata in the Party's leadership in the cause of national construction and defense, especially in the renewal, development and integration cause, creating a driving force for emulation movements, contributing to successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th provincial  Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The workshop will also highlight the local Party and government’s proactiveness, political determination and flexibility in applying the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws to concretize into guidelines, mechanisms and policies suitable to the local real situation  at the local requirements of integration and development. From a practical and summarized view, Binh Duong will draw many valuable lessons to map out policies for the local construction and development in the next period.

The scientific workshop will be held on April 19 and 20, 2022. The program of the workshop includes field-trips to the models of economic-urban development, smart city construction, science - technology development, cultural - art activities...so that delegates get practical information to serve their presentation of speeches at the workshop. On the afternoon of the first working day of the workshop, there will be thematic sessions on building political, economic and urban systems; people - culture - society; national defense - security - foreign affairs. The online plenary session will take place on the morning of the second working day of the workshop at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center, which will be broadcast live on Binh Duong Radio and Television.
