Mobilizing the public to keep hygiene, collect garbage… is task of My Phuoc township’s Quarter 3 self-control team on environment. The self-control team has become a typical model in Ben Cat district.

As a populous locality, My Phuoc township’s quarter 3-based roads have been always clean in recent years. It is thanks to a self-control team on environment. Founded in 2009 with 31 members, the team has so far increased 51 members. The team’s main task is to mobilize the public to keep hygiene, obey regulations on environment.

Nguyen Thi Hiep, deputy head of the team, said together with urbanization process, the locality’s environmental issue has become a concern for people. Under the instruction of the quarter 3 Fatherland Front Committee, My Phuoc township rapidly established the self-control team.

The team daily mobilizes the public to clean environment and collect garbage. The quarter has 3 teams specializing in collecting garbage. Besides, the self-control team’s management board in cooperation with the quarter managerial board advises small traders not to encroach onto pavement for trading, not to let out garbage rashly. Therefore, the quarter has become more beautiful and cleaner.

After a 2 year inception, the self-control team has mobilized 632 households to keep hygiene. In 2010, the team has launched 36 inspections on environment and guided the public to build exemplary routes. Success from the model of self-control environment team has mobilized great response from all people. My Phuoc township has so far had 7 self-control teams on environment.
