Bau Bang district was established and officially put into operation on Apr 1st 2014 under Resolution No. 136 / NQ-CP dated Dec 29th 2013 of the Government. Infrastructure is formed towards modernization
Regarding transport infrastructure, in the 2014-2015 period, Bau Bang district invested in upgrading and expanding 33.7km district roads, 141.2km communal roads with a total investment of VND233.9 billion funded by State budget and contributions from people, enterprises. Regarding rural roads, the district completed 66 projects with a total cost of VND102.6 billion. In the last 2 years, Bau Bang district has mobilized socialization investments in 7 rural market systems in accordance with criteria for new rural markets. Educational material facilities have been also standardized, upgraded to meet teaching and learning needs, prove the quality of human resources; health system was invested to meet national standards of communal health; cultural – sports institutions have satisfied people’s needs for entertainment and recreation. Electricity supply system has been upgraded to meet promptly the demand for electricity use in daily life and industrial production; the proportion of households using electricity of the district reached 99.88%...
Bau Bang district People’s Committee Chairman Mr. Le Khac Tri said, thanks to the attention of provincial leadership, the district had developed socio- economic infrastructure systems. Thus, completion of key projects has contributed to stimulating socio- economic growth, improving people’s life. In the last 2 years, investments in infrastructure systems have increased and from different sectors with a total capital of VND603 billion. The achievements in infrastructure investment in the 2014-2015 have helped to shape a modern civilized urban area of the district. These results are prerequisites for Bau Bang district to become a modern civilized satellite-town, as Binh Duong will have become a city directly under the Central before 2020.
To keep investing heavily in infrastructure
According to Bau Bang District planning, urban areas of the district will develop towards synchronous – civilized – modern. To upgrade Bau Bang urban to class 4 before 2020, according to Mr. Le Khac Tri, the district would accelerate the planning of Bau Bang, Lai Hung and Long Nguyen town to develop regional links; focus on infrastructure investment of Bau Bang town to lever local economic growth. By 2020, Bau Bang will attract all investment resources in modern typical urban models to meet the needs of high-tech professionals working and living here; plan for urban housing, urban areas towards civilization, modernization along Highway 13, My Phuoc - Bau Bang - Ho Chi Minh route, North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang route…
Implementing urban planning orientations, in 2016, many key infrastructure projects have been launched, like: Bau Bang Industrial – Urban zone, district Administrative Center, Health Center ... In addition, many key projects of education sector have been executed, such as: Sunshine Kindergarten, Bau Bang Primary school, Tru Van Tho Secondary school… In the 2015-2020 period, Bau Bang district will concentrate on land clearance and dredging, dike maintenance of Ben Van, Dong So stream; dredging of Xa Mach, Bau Long stream… to drain wastewater of industrial areas, save a land resource for water drainage system during the urban development process.
To implement well the urban development program, Bau Bang district has put forward several solutions, like: heightening construction and implementation quality of planning; reviewing, adjusting and supplementing the overall planning; building up the land use plan, the detailed planning in line with the master plan on socio- economic development.
