Solutions for Binh Duong’s tourism to improve competitiveness towards sustainable development

On December 27, provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a seminar on “Improving competitiveness of Binh Duong’s tourism towards sustainable development”, in attendance of Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, representatives of some sectors, departments in the province.

Addressing the seminar, Mr.Hung emphasized that the seminar needed to exactly assess the local tourism potential, thereby putting forward orientations, tasks and solutions for better development. It also needed to focus on boosting tours and improving their quality in order to bring the local tourism sector to a new height, contributing to the local economic development.

The seminar also received 38 subjects from 41 authors. They concentrated on assessing, putting forward orientations, solutions to foster the local tourism products; develop traditional craft villages in association with tourism; build the local tourism into an sector with great contributions to the local economic growth. It is expected that till 2020 and in the following years, tourism will become one of sectors with considerable contributions to the local sustainable development…
