Taking care of workers

Binh Duong province has so far absorbed a large number of laborers who play an important role in economic development. Therefore, provincial leaders have instructed the local sectors and authorities at all levels to take care of the spiritual and material lives of laborers.

Living and working in peace and contentment

Along with social housing projects invested by Becamex IDC in Thu Dau Mot city, Bau Bang district and Ben Cat town, the province has to date approved 85 social housing projects with thousands of apartments for laborers. This will be a chance for laborers to stablize their lives for long attachment with the province.

Noticeably, most social housing areas in the province are built near industrial parks, schools, markets…with perfectly-built infrastructure facilties. The model is also being studied to follow by other localities nationwide.

Over the past years, provincial Labor Union also implemented welfare programs for laborers. This was seen a new breath of air in taking care of the spiritual and material lives of trade unionists and laborers. As of now, provincial Labor Union and Trade Unions at all levels have signed deals with 34 enterprises to realize welfare programs for trade unionists and laborers.

In order to create a safe working environment, the province has also paid attention to instructing the local sectors and authorities at all levels to oversee and require enterprises to take solutions to restrict occupational diseases. Accordingly, the local sector of labor and trade unions at all levels have also regularly supervised the implementation of policies on labor environment…

Taking care of laborers’spiritual and material lives

Province-based industrial parks have till now absorbed more investors, generating jobs for around 1.2 million laborers, 85% of whom are immigrants.

Along with care on material life, the local sectors, authorities at all levels and enterprises have paid attention to giving good care for the spirtial life of laborers, contributing to enhancing their productivity and creation. Particularly, the province built cultural institutions and organized cultural activities, creating useful playgrounds for workers at industrial parks over the past time. The province now has a support center for young workers in Ben Cat town, a labor cultural center in Thuan An town…Provincial Labor Union has also held many cultural-sports activities for laborers, aiming to enhance their spiritual life.

In addition, many enterprises in the province have attached special importance to building playgrounds for laborers. For example, Hai My Co.Ltd. constructed a tennis court, a football ground…for laborers to play after working hours.

Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union said that over the past time, provincial Labor Union conducted trade unions at all levels to well realize law dissemination among employers and employees; set up a system of cultural institutions for workers; organize cultural-sports activities for them; honor outstanding collectives and individuals with excellent achievements in building cultural lifestyle among workers….
