With more than one century of establishment and development, Thuan An educational Center for Disabled Children is both a school and a common family of hearing impaired students. By love and patience of teachers, students have enjoyed knowledge and skill to integrate into life.

  Hearing impaired children enjoy teachers’ support.

 

Thuan An educational Center for Disabled Children is home to 69 teachers and employees and 350 hearing impaired students pursuing kindergarten and secondary levels. The Center’s teaching contents are based on the Ministry of Education and Training’s textbooks but they are adjusted in conformity with the disabled children’s ability.

 

Trinh Thi Dao, vice director of the center, said in several years the center has launched additional program called “Soon interference”. As a result, many hearing-impaired students have enjoyed good integration. The program of “Soon interference” for disabled children is to find out and diagnose children’s disabilities as soon as possible in a bid to promote their development.

 

Despite difficulties, by love and enthusiasm, most of the teachers of the center have tens of years attaching to the work. Every 3 months, the center teachers assess and draw experience as well as seek out measures to improve difficulties in taking care of and teaching the hearing-impaired children.

 

In addition, the center has taken charge of taking care of and teaching disabled students. Teachers must monitor students to grasp and find out timely their health and disease.

 

Teacher Tran Thi Vang with 30 years of experience revealed, despite pressure of the work, she loves the disabled students very much because they have to suffer many sufferings in life.

 

In reality, the center’s disabled students have not only integrated into the community but won success in life. Dao shared that the centers’ teachers have still monitored students after they graduated. In the end of every academic year, the center holds get-together to gather students in a bid to learn about their life. Teachers’ biggest joy is to see students’ matureness.

 

By love and silent contribution, the center’s teachers bring a better life for the unlucky children.
