Textiles Trade Union to put effort into taking good care of union members

On Jan 27, Textiles Trade Union organized a conference to summarize activities in 2015.

Currently, the Trade Union is managing 86 union affiliates with more than 38,000 union members, including more than 31,000 female members working in textiles industry (accounting for nearly 80%). In 2015, the Trade Union directed affiliates to sign collective labor agreements, organize workers conferences, and dialogues at enterprises according to Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ regulations and Decree 60/2013 / ND-CP of the Government. As a result, 75/86 organizations signed collective labor agreements at enterprises; 14/86 organizations organized workers conferences, 48 ​​organizations organized dialogues at enterprises.

In addition, the Trade Union cooperated with authorities and employees to monitor and timely solve workers’ policies; directed affiliates, cooperated with employers to take care of workers on big occasions with total expense of nearly VND1.3 billion; presented bus tickets to workers to return home, gifts to 569 poor workers with total expense of over VND389 million...

On this occasion, Textiles Trade Union launched emulation movement in 2016; conferred provincial Labor Federation’s certificates of merit on 11 collectives and 69 individuals, 1 excellent emulation flag on Precious Garments Co. Ltd.; certificates of merit on 33 collectives and 375 individuals.
