The tournament is to mark the 81st anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and Youth Month 2012, the 66th anniversary of Vietnam Sport Day as well as to find out and train excellent athletes for the provincial volleyball team.

After 2 days of competition, in the category of male event, Binh Duong University for Technology and Economics ranked first, followed by Binh Duong University whilst the local Medical College grasped the first prize, followed by Binh Duong University for Technology and Economics in the category of female event.

Prizes for excellent athletes were granted to Le Hai Duy from Thu Dau Mot University and Tran Thi Hong Hanh from local Medical College.
