The province fines over 135 million VND for violating food safety

Over the first 7 months of 2021, in addition to independent inspection, Provincial Office of Market Management strengthened collaboration with health branch to conduct food safety inspection at production, processing and selling establishments of food, chemicals, insecticidal and germicidal preparations, medical equipment in the province.

Accordingly, total inspection was 231 cases, detected 17 violations, sanctioned administrative violations and fined over 135 million VND, warned off 4 establishments that did not arrange a reasonable production process. During the inspection, the inspectorate encouraged retailers, production and business establishments to destroy many types of food containing banned substances, such as borax, formaldehyde, hypochlorid, etc. Currently, Provincial Market Management Office continues to inspect and supervise food production, processing and trading establishments, especially of antibacterial products and medical equipment to avoid fake shortages, fake price fever.
