Thuan An pays more attention to needy children

Under the Government’s Decree No.86 and provincial People’s Committee’s Decision No.28, Thuan An town has so far made tuition fee reduction and exemption for 893 pupils and students with more than VND521million.

The town’s Study Promotion Society has also awarded 4,152 scholarships and 11,135 gifts to needy people with a total expense of more than VND6.1billion. In addition, the town’s Sponsoring Association for Disable People, Orphans and Poor Patients has mobilized organizations and individuals to donate 456 scholarships worth VND417million to orphan, handicapped and poor children.

Such these apart, the town has rechecked and suggested the province to award scholarships from provincial Children’s Support Fund to 280 children with extremely difficult circumstances; given 1,436 mid-autumn gifts worth VND324million for poor children…
