Thuan An’s Women’s Union holds get-together to celebrate International Women's Day

Early March 1, Thuan An city’s Women's Union held a get-together to celebrate the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8) and the 1984th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung (Trung Sisters)’s uprising at Thuan An Hoa War Zone relic site

Nearly 100 officials and members of Thuan An city’s Women's Union visited Thuan An Hoa War Zone relic site, reviewed the meaning of International Women's Day and the Hai Ba Trung’s Uprising, the history of Thuan An land; highlighted the fine virtues of Vietnamese women in general and Thuan An city’s women in particular through each stage of development in the nation's history; affirmed the role of women in the family, community and society.

At the get-together, Thuan An city’s Women's Union implemented plans, contents and action programs to further bring practical benefits to women and children in 2024. On this occasion, the city’s Women's Union gave each officer and member a green tree, further launching the movement of "Each woman plants a green tree - Every association branch does a work on green trees".
