Long Hung hamlet in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune reaches 99.68% of cultural households

On the afternoon of November 4, the Front Work Committee of Long Hung hamlet in Bau Bang district’s Long Nguyen commune held the 2024 great national great unity festival, in attendance of Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission.

The report presented at the event highlighted that Long Hung hamlet now has 315 out of 316 households recognized as cultural families or 99.68% of total. There were no households under central and provincial poverty lines and the proportion of well-off households in 2024 increased compared to previous years. The average income per capita reached VND 82 million per year.

The local people actively participated in various campaigns and movements. Over the past year, residents contributed to planting more than 300 golden trumpet trees, cleaning rural roads and raising funds to support policy beneficiary families, revolutionary contributors, disadvantaged households and poor students during Tet and great holidays. They also provided gifts to youth enlisting in the military and awarded scholarships to poor-but-excellent students.

At the festival, leaders of the province, the district, the commune and the hamlet presented 57 gift to policy beneficiary families, those with  difficult circumstances and poor-but-excellent students. They honored 10 households for earning the title of exemplary cultural family for three consecutive years and expressed gratitude to three individuals for significant contributions to the hamlet.

Speaking at the event, Mrs. Hanh acknowledged and praised achievements done by Long Hung hamlet. She encouraged the local residents to continue fostering unity and actively support the Party’s policies and the State's laws. She also urged them to sustain the “All People uniting to build civilized urban and new-style rural areas” movement, the “Civilized Saturday” campaign, ensuring security and order, contributing to building up a strong national defense.
