Thuan An town Party Committee convene extended conference

In the morning of 6 July, Thuan An Town Party Committee held the 17th conference of Party Executive Committee –21^st term (extension) to partially summarize the implementation of the 21^st town Party Resolution 2015-2020 and assess the performance of socio-economic development tasks in the first 6 months 2018, deploy directions and tasks in the last 6 months 2018. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, attended the conference.

In the first 6 months of 2018, Party Committee and People's Committee of Thuan An town focused on directing and organizing the implementation of directions of Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, the town Party Resolution on the construction, development of the Party, breakthrough programs of the town Party Committee, tasks and targets on socio-economic development, defense - security. Namely, the town’s economic situation obtained stable growth, industrial production growth was quite good, estimated value wasVND103,400 billion, reaching 48.95% compared with People's Council’s resolution and increased 8% compared with the same period of 2017.

Trade and services developed stably; market price, goods supply was stabilized. Total retail sales of goods and services were estimated at VND26,230 billion, equivalent to 48.68% compared to the People's Council’s resolution and increased 23% over the same period of 2017. Total budget revenue was estimated at VND1,958.092 billion VND, reaching 54.2% compared with the province's estimate and the town People's Council’s resolution...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Liem appreciated the achievements of Thuan An town Party; asked the town People's Committee continue to focus on breakthrough programs. Mr. Liem said that Provincial Party appreciated the reduction, restructuring of staff, reform and reorganize the apparatus of political system to be streamlined and effective, especially the success of the pilot project to reorganize personnel of Lai Thieu ward. He asked Thuan An town Party Committee to continue to focus on reorganizing its political system to be effective and efficient, bringing into play the successful lesson of Lai Thieu ward.

On this occasion, Thuan An town Party Committee handed over Party badgesof 45 to 70 Party seniorities to more than 10 Party members, who are retired cadres and revolutionary veterans of the town Party.
