To bring healthcare closer to people and workers

Update: 05-10-2021 | 11:00:32

As returning to the "new normal", localities in the province have rearranged Covid-19 testing and treatment facilities to ensure these are reasonable and suitable to the disease development. Besides, sample collection, testing and patient treatment continue to be performed quickly and promptly by localities.

To pool human resources

After rearranging Covid-19 testing and treatment facilities, Bau Bang district has two field hospitals No. 4, No. 6 and Phong Thanh treatment area (Lai Hung commune) with nearly 4,000 F0 patients. The district is continuing to arrange F0s who are being treated at Phong Thanh facility to two field hospitals to return the factory to the owner. Doctor Mai Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Director of Medical Center of Bau Bang District, said that the district's front-line medical force was very short because relief delegations had returned to their organizations. Currently, the district only has on-site medical staff, 23 doctors and nurses from Dien Bien and Ninh Thuan delegations with 20 people. Therefore, to ensure medical human resource, the district is transferring all F0 patients in Phong Thanh treatment area to two field hospitals No. 4 and No. 6.

Medical staff of Di An ward (Di An city) give Covid-19 vaccine to elderly residents in the ward.

Dr. Dung added that in southern localities of the province, such as: Thuan An City, Di An City, etc., due to their high population density and large number of F0 patients, the application of at-home F0 treatment is very necessary and suitable to the actual situation. However, in their actual conditions, the district does not apply this approach. When a lodging house has an infected case, the patient will be transferred to No. 4 Field Hospital to conduct the testing and treatment. In addition, medical workers disinfect the entire lodging house. After three testing times, if the results are negative, residents in the lodging house could return to the house and continue to isolate for 14 days for health monitoring. This method will completely prevent infection among the community.

The district Health Center also provides training on functions, tasks as well as specific instructions for medical forces of eight mobile health stations in the district; collaborate with medical facilities, field hospitals in the implementation of disease prevention and control as well as to provide regular medical examination and treatment for residents in the district.

To improve the effectiveness of disease prevention control

Health branch of Tan Uyen Town has also quickly reorganized their health system in the new situation. Accordingly, at the grassroots level, the focus is on mobile health stations to guarantee disease prevention and control as well as regular medical examination and treatment for people and workers. At the district level, new facility of the town health center will be a place for regular medical examination and treatment, the old facility is a hospital specializing in treating F0 patients of the town and North Tan Uyen district. Doctor Huynh Minh Chin, Director of Tan Uyen Town Health Center, said that the town arranged F0 treatment areas and completely removed more than 100 temporary isolation areas at schools and some other facilities in accordance with the province's direction.

With the increasing number of F0s discharged and the decreasing number of infection cases, now there are three large treatment areas in the town with a total of more than 11,000 beds, now only more than 4,200 F0 patients are being treated. Currently, the town has 72 F0s who are being treated at home. To effectively implement at-home F0 treatment, in addition to 26 mobile medical stations established in communes, wards and towns, 19 mobile health stations were established and put into operation in companies.

When removing temporary isolation areas in the town, the medical force there were allocated to mobile medical stations to strengthen human resource and guarantee the high efficiency. “The implementation of a new treatment solution (at-home treatment) for F0s with no symptoms and mild symptoms, F0s have injected at least 1 dose of the vaccine, is convenient for people and reduces pressure on hospitals and treatment facilities. Thereby, medical branch could assemble human and material resources to treat severe patients with greater efficiency,” said Doctor Huynh Minh Chin.

Besides, localities such as Thuan An City, Di An City, Thu Dau Mot City... have implemented at-home treatment for asymptomatic and mild F0 patients with the assistance of mobile medical stations established in wards. As of October 3, the province had 4,187 F0 patients treated at home. The province also had 169 mobile health stations established, of which 21 are in enterprises and industrial parks and clusters. The mobile medical stations have been monitoring and taking care of thousands of F0 patients treated at home, and at the same time are participating in many other activities, such as guidance, health consultation, home medicine distribution, first aid provision, and hospital transfer of severe F0 cases, F0 testing and isolation, vaccination...
