Tran Giang Khue - Head of the Southern Representative of the National Office of Intellectual Property, presents at the conference

Tran Giang Khue - Head of the Southern Representative of the National Office of Intellectual Property, said that in order to effectively protect the enforcement of intellectual property rights in the digital environment, it is necessary to review, amend and supplement the law, capacity of agencies, departments, sectors, enterprises and the public. Besides, it is necessary to apply digital technology to intellectual property activities, to strengthen the responsibility of intermediary organizations on self-protection measures by technology. State agencies need to step up propaganda, training, education, and improvement of knowledge and skills for Vietnamese organizations, individuals and businesses, to have policies and mechanisms to support organizations, individuals and businesses in creating, managing, exploiting and effectively enforcing intellectual property rights through the application of scientific and technical achievements in industrial revolution, especially the 4th industrial revolution.

Tran Giang Khue added, businesses also need to fully identify intellectual property and pay attention to intellectual property rights as soon as possible, right from the beginning of the idea of intellectual property in every step of the research, development and production cycle. Moreover, when a product is put on the market, it always contains a lot of different intellectual property, so it is necessary to take measures to effectively and appropriately identify, manage, protect and exploit.
