Tree planting festival launched

On the occasion of the 131st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2021), Becamex IDC, on May 18, held a ceremony to launch the tree planting festival in Binh Duong New City, My Phuoc Industrial Park, Bau Bang Urban Industrial Park. Attending the launching ceremony was Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Up to now, Becamex IDC has planted more than 1.5 million green trees in the province. The corporation has nurtured more than 200,000 green trees to prepare for the tree planting plan in 2021, being ready to supply them to localities and units in the province if they need. It is expected that Becamex IDC will plant 80,000 green trees and 100,000 square meters of various flowers this year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Truc emphasized that the implementation of green tree planting programs throughout the province is considered as one of the important parts in the process of building Binh Duong smart city, in accordance with the instruction spirit of provincial leaders. He highly appreciated contributions by Becamex IDC in environmental protection activities, from wastewater treatment to the movement of planting green trees under the quality standards ISO 14001:2015.
