Unity in building civilized urban, new rural areas

In 2017, Binh Duong continued implemented the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas”, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development.

Hoang Quoc Viet, Chairman of Tan Hiep communal People’s Committee in Phu Giao district said that thanks to the efforts by the local Party, government and people, Tan Hiep commune was recognized as a new rural one by the end of 2014. Since then, the commune has always maintained and continued improving the quality of new rural criteria. The commune has also attached special importance to building up cultural lifestyle by upgrading cultural institutions as well as organizing cultural-sports activities.

Not only Tan Hiep, the province’s new rural communes have also promoted the campaign of “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas”  and reached major results. For the campaign gaining in-depth development, Tan Uyen town’s Fatherland Front Standing Committee has called for each commune or ward to implement at least one work and one model. Till now, there have been all communes and wards registering to carry out 12 works and models under the motto of “the State and people work together” in association with enhancing the quality of criteria of the “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas”  campaign.

To date, Uyen Hung, the central ward of the town has reached positive results in civilized urban construction. Dang Quang Vinh, Secretary of the ward’s Party Committee said that the ward’s program on urban rejuvenation has received consensus of people from all strata plus high determination of the entire political system. Hence, the urban image of the ward has actually got more civilized, greener, cleaner and nicer.

For the “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas” campaign upholding its efficiency in reality, over the past time, provincial Fatherland Front Standing Committee advised provincial Party Standing Committee on issuing the Directive No.21-CT/TU dated March 28, 2017 on strengthening the Party’s leadership over the campaign, the Plan No.14/KH-MTTQ-BTT dated April 19, 2017 on realizing major tasks and improving Fatherland Front tasks in 2017; signed a joint program on implementation of the campaign for the period of 2017-2021 and fire fighting-prevention with socio-political organizations and anti-fire police forces in the province…

Provincial Fatherland Front Standing Committee also took part in the Steering Board of “the whole province joining hands in new rural construction” campaign to consider and make the recognition of new rural communes in Bau Bang and North Tan Uyen districts in 2016. So far, the whole province has had a total of 42 communes recognized as new rural ones and 10 wards meeting criteria on urban civilization while issuing a set of new rural criteria for the period of 2016-2020 and launching the new rural construction program 2017.

Provincial Fatherland Front Committees at all levels have continued coordinating with their member organizations and the Steering Boards of the “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas” campaign at all levels to strengthen propaganda activities, raising public awareness of the campaign; mobilize people from all strata to get involved in building cultural families, quarters, hamlets, lodging facilities, new rural communes and civilized urban wards…

Possibly speaking, the “All people consolidate to build civilized urban and new rural areas” campaign has contributed to changing the face of many localities in the province. Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee emphasized that since being launched, the campaign has reaped important results, positively affecting a lot of aspects in social life. The campaign has contributed to promoting the local socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual lives of the local people.
