Vietjet Air opens HCMC-Osaka air route

Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air announced the opening of a new air route linking HCM City to Osaka on December 14th, aiming to promoting tourism, trade exchange and integration between the two countries and in the region.

At the launching ceremony, at Japan’s Kansai Airport, Corporate Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at Kansai Airports Gregory Jamet stated it was a great honour for Kansai to be designated as the airport linking Vietjet’s new air service to Japan, following the recent Hanoi-Osaka route.

He expressed hope that the new route will offer travel and trade exchange opportunities for passengers from Vietnam and Japan in the future, noting that Vietjet Air will continue expanding its flight network to and from Kansai airport to bring passengers a more convenient and noteworthy experience.

According to the airline, passengers on flights from HCM City to Osaka will be entertained with Japanese-style Cosplay performances and receive pleasant gifts from the airline.

The flights on the new air route will depart from HCM City at 1:40 and land in Osaka at 8:30 (local time). The return flight will take off from Osaka at 9:30 (local time) and arrive in HCM City at 13:30. Tickets will be sold on the airline’s website https://www.vietjetair.com.

The airline also plans to launch a new route from Hanoi to Tokyo on January 11th, 2019.
