The Finnish Virka Gallery will host the Vietnamese cinema exhibition “Country Rises Up from War” over September 12–18, commemorating 40 years of Vietnam-Finland diplomatic ties.The exhibition includes more than 100 film posters from 1959 up to present day, documentaries and Vietnamese film postcard collections.Documentaries about the history of Vietnamese cinema will be screened with English subtitles.Most of the exhibited posters are reproductions from famed films like Cánh đồng hoang (Deserted Field), Đất nước đứng lên (Country Rises Up), Đường về quê mẹ (Road Back to Mother), and Nguyễn Ái Quốc ở Hong Kong (Nguyen Ai Quoc in Hong Kong).The exhibition is a collaboration between the Vietnam Film Institute and Virka Gallery.VOV
