A source from the Sports General Department said that the Vietnamese national female boxing squad will attend the World Boxing Championship 2010 to be held in Bridgetown, Barbados in September 2010.

 

Before the World Boxing Championship 2010, Vietnam’s four female boxers also competed in the Asian Boxing Championship 2010, which was held in Kazashstan from May 20 to 27. At the tournament 2008, Vietnam reaped successes with two silver medals snatched by Ngo Thi Phuong and Nguyen Thi Vui in weight categories of 48 kg and 57 kg; two bronze medals belonging to Nguyen Thi Hoa and Ngo Thi Chung in categories of 46kg and 54kg. Vietnam also pocketed three bronze medals at the tournament 2005.
